If it’s been a while since you saw Cinderella, her glass slipper was about fit. She didn’t have to force herself into it or shrink who she was to make it work. When something is right, it fits naturally.
The same should be true for our gear.
And yet, for so many athletes, sports bras are the opposite experience… digging, bouncing, slipping, or leaving us wondering if discomfort is just part of the deal.
It’s not.

Runner’s World has called the sports bra the most influential piece of running gear ever made, not because of how it looks, but because of how it supports movement, reduces discomfort, and helps athletes feel confident during their tough
How to Find Your Sports Bra Size
Most brands have a “find your size” feature. Don’t panic… wee are going to walk through this.

While measuring your bust & band & subtracting the 2 is a good start…
Bodies move.
Hormones change.
Breasts are rarely symmetrical.
And support means different things depending on what you’re doing, not just how you look.
That’s why so many people technically wear a “correct size” and still feel uncomfortable.
How do I actually know if my bra fits?
💜 Great fit
- Bottom band: you should be able to fit two fingers between the band and your body
- Straps: The straps should stay on your shoulders without digging in
- Cups: Your breasts fill the cup without spilling over
👎 Too big
- Bottoms band: Feels toooo loose, and you notice some under-boob.
- Cups: There’s gapping between your breasts & the cups
- Straps: Your straps slip off your shoulders
👎 Too small
- Band: It’s SO tight you can barely breathe. You can feel underwire pinching your skin.
- Cups: Your breasts spill out over the cups
- Straps: You see red marks on your skin after you take your bra off
Movement changes everything
Instead of starting with a number or a letter, start with how the bra feels on your body. These are the things that truly matter. A bra that feels fine standing still might not work once you start moving.
A good sports bra fit should be tested in motion:
- jump up and down
- raise your arms overhead
- twist side to side
Support should stay consistent, not disappear the second you move. Instead of asking, “What size am I?” try asking:
- What movement / activity am I doing?
- What kind of support do I want today? (low, medium, high)
- Where do I usually feel discomfort?
Our body will change. Our needs will change. Our bras should too.
One last thing...
Finding your perfect fit can take time, and honestly be exhausting.
No matter your style, It’s about listening to your body, making adjustments, and choosing comfort and confidence over outdated standards. You deserve support that feels amazing & moves with you.
